Dale W. Eder 1944 - June 04, 1969 Funeral services for Air Force Maj. Dale W. Eder, 44, Hampton, VA., who was killed in a Florida helicopter crash last Wednesday, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Little and Sons Funeral Home Beech Grove.
Burial will be in Washington Park East Cemetery.
Maj. Eder, who was commanding a helicopter with eight persons aboard when it lost a rotor blade near MacDill Air Force Base, FL., was a veteran of World War II, and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
Severn other persons aboard the craft as it was returning to MacDill from a training mission also were killed.
Maj. Eder was a native of Beech Grove and a member of Beech Grove Christian Church and the Beech Grove Masonic Lodge. He attended Butler University and was commissioned as an officer during World War II.
Survivors include the window, Mrs. Helen Eder; three daughters, Mrs. Michael Foster of Ossian and Miss. Debra and Miss. Flora Mae Eder, both at home; the father, Louis Eder of Beech Grove; a brother, Vernon L. Eder of Wanamaker, and two grandchildren. |
