Elmer M. Crouch, MSgt. USAF (Retired) November 09, 1921 - October 26, 2010 Elmer M. Crouch MSgt. Ret., 88, of Trenton died Tuesday October 26, 2010 at his residence.
He was born November 19, 1921 in St. Louis, MO to Charles and Elizabeth (Wetzel) Crouch: they preceded him in death.
Also preceded in death by a daughter Deborah Lynn Crouch, a sister Virginia Stoker, brothers James, Charles and Walter Crouch.
He married Henrietta “Penny” Spreitler May 10, 1952 at St. Peters Cathedral in Belleville and she survives in Trenton.
Also surviving are his children Edward (Christine) Crouch of Commerce City, CO, Rosemary McIntire of New Baden, Philip (Angelika) Crouch of New Baden, Joseph (Susan) Crouch of Arnold, MO, Gary (Brandi) Crouch of Trenton, Jerry (Heidi) Crouch of Barnhart, MO., 12 grandchildren and 1 step grandchild, 5 step great grandchildren. Brothers John (Barbara) Crouch of Okawville, Frank Crouch of Dupo. Sisters Mary Meyer of Branson, MO, Alice Schilling of Phoenix, AZ.
Elmer retired from the Unites States Air Force after 30 years. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
Member of the Cahokia VFW Post 1699 and DAV, New Baden American Legion Post 321, Air Force Sergeant Association, Sergeant Association.
Funeral Service Friday October 29, 2010 at Moss Funeral Home in Trenton. Interment at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
Visitation will be held on Thursday October 28 from 4 to 8 pm and Friday October 29 from 8 to 8:45 am at the Moss Funeral Home in Trenton.
Memorials can be made to Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home. New Baden American Legion will hold services Thursday at 7:30 PM at the funeral home.
