On Tuesday, June 10, 2014, Reynolds -- "Twinkie Man," Mr. Bill, Wild Bill, Grandpa Bill, Papa Bill, Grandpa Great, Daddy, Dad- MSgt. William Reynolds Moyers, United States Air Force Retired -- went to heaven to join God's Air Force.

 

Bill served in the USAF for 20 years. He served one year in Vietnam as a medic on a rescue helicopter. He also worked at the Alamogordo post office for 20 years.

 

He was born in Franklin, W.Va., in 1942. He fell in love with New Mexico during an assignment to Holloman Air Force Base and decided to live out his life here.

 

He also met and fell in love with the love of his life, Ermelinda Maria Noriega Moyers, who survives him.

 

He leaves behind three kids, son Michael E. Moyers Sr. and his wife Ana and their six kids and one great-granddaughter, all of Alamogordo; daughter Elaine M. Williams, her husband Mario and their three kids of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and a second son Marcus S. Moyers and his two kids of Phoenix, Ariz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Zellie B. and Ida Moyers of Franklin, W.Va.; two sisters Stella Eye and Ruby Turley of Petersburg, W.Va. and one brother Ray Moyers of Portland, Ore. He is survived by many nephews and nieces whom he loved very much.

 

Celebratory memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 14, at Alamogordo Funeral Home Chapel, with Inez Benetiz officiating.
