John David McDaniel AIKEN, SC - A celebration of life service for Mr. John David McDaniel age 63 will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 23, 2015 at Cole Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating.

 

Military honors will be accorded by the U.S. Air Force ceremonial team. Interment will be private.

 

Mr. McDaniel entered into rest Monday, April 27, 2015 at his residence. He was the son of the late Mr. James B. McDaniel and the late Mrs. Irene Estelle Felts McDaniel. Mr. McDaniel was a native of Cincinnati Ohio and had made Aiken County his home for the past 30 years.

 

He was a retired Helicopter Mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War.

 

Mr. McDaniel was a loving father who enjoyed his video games, showing his antique car at the antique car shows. He was of the Baptist faith.

 

Survivors include three sons, Josiah (Fiance;e, Amanda Moriarty) McDaniel, Augusta, GA, Jessie McDaniel, Aiken, Tim McDaniel, Aiken; one daughter, Reanna (Torrey) Samuels, North Augusta; one brother, Jim (Debbie) McDaniel, Aiken; two sisters, Rita O'Neal, North Vernon, IN, Rose Barron, Atlanta, GA; one grandson, Torrey Samuels, and a number of Nieces and Nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association at https://donatenow.heart.org.

 

The family will receive friends following the service, Saturday, May 23, 2015 at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PARKWAY (118 BY PASS) AIKEN, SC, 29801. 803-648-7175.
