James (Jim) B. Moore, CMSgt., USAF (Retired) November 25, 1940 - June 26, 2009
James (Jim) Burdell Moore, Chief Master Sergeant, USAF (Ret.). Jim was born November 25, 1940 in Holgate, Ohio. Jim entered heaven on June 26, 2009 after a long and valiant battle with Inclusion Body Myositis a form of Muscular Dystrophy.
He is survived by his wife Carol, son Joseph B. Moore and his wife Pamela Moore, grandson Jacob Moore, granddaughter Ethlie Moore, grandson Josiah Moore, son James B. Moore, Jr. and his wife Catherine Moore, granddaughters Xuefan Lilly Moore, Tia Moore and Amanda Moore, Jim's sister Mary E. Dale and her husband John Dale, Jim's brother Gary Moore and his wife Carol Moore.
Jim proudly served his country with a distinguished, highly decorated, career in the United States Air Force for over 30 years, retiring from active duty in July 1991. During his military career he served at numerous assignments in the United States and overseas working and flying on USAF helicopters, including combat tours during the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Distinguish Flying Cross, Air Medal and numerous other awards and decorations. He entered the civilian work force during the summer of 1993 and again entered retirement on December 31, 2003.

Uncle Jim influenced my childrens life when reading what he wote about his experiences in his life. I am in awe of the marriage he had with my loving Aunt Carol. June 30, 2009 I didn't know Jim very well but I did get to interface with him at his home in Enon last year. I was a pilot with the 20th Helicopter Squadron in Vietnam in 1966-1967, so Jim and I spent a couple of hours discussing the operations of that organization.
