Frederick Yonteck, Major, USAF (Retired)


YONTECK, Major Frederick USAF 73, of Clearwater, passed away on beautiful Memorial Day morning, May 25, 2009.


He is survived by his son, Todd Yonteck; Daughter, Melissa Yonteck; sister, Elizabeth Barbara Yonteck; two grandchildren and fiancée, Emile LeBoeuf.


He was a retired Air Force Major and did three tours in Vietnam. He survived a helicopter crash when he was shot down and injured. He was also a VIP pilot in Washington, D.C. whose mission included flying the Vice President of the United States, Spiro Agnew.


He was the executive director of the Florida Mobile Homeowner's Association (FMO) and helped establish several laws that protect mobile homeowner's rights.


A memorial service will be held Friday, 11 am at Dobies Funeral Home, Tarpon Springs. Inurnment will be held at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery.



Major Yonteck was a UH-1F/P Pilot with the 20th Helicopter Squadron "Green Hornets" in 1967, crashed in Theat Long Valley west of Nha Trang, Republic of Vietnam.
