Richard was born on May 5, 1933 and passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2006.

Richard was a resident of Covington, Louisiana at the time of his passing.

 

A retired Air Force helicopter pilot, Lt. Col. Richard Riecke served in Vietnam, where he received a Distinguished Flying Cross while performing search and rescue missions. Later he served as one of President Lyndon Johnson's pilots.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Anne (Hill).

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at St. Dominic Church, 775 Harrison Ave., NOLA on Thursday, November 9th from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00PM.
