June 1971 - April 1972 At UCLA, Los Angeles, CA. as a Masters degree student in engineering management.

April 1972 - July 1972 At Fort Wolters, Mineral Wells, TX. as a Student helicopter pilot in primary helicopter training (phase 1), on TH-55A.

July 1972 - November 1972 At. Fort Rucker, AL. as a student helicopter pilot in primary helicopter training (phase 2) Bell 47's and UH-1's.

November 1972 - June 1973 At Hill AFB, UT. as a helicopter pilot for advanced flight training in UH-1N's and HH-3E's.

June 1973 -December 1975 At Keflavik NAS, Iceland with Det. 14, 67th ARRS as a rescue pilot on HH-3E's.

December 1975 - June 1977 At Elmendorf AFB, Anchorage, AK with the 71st ARRS as a rescue pilot on HH-3E's.
