~Career Comments~

I went to Shaw AFB in March 2010 and there are no signs of the 703rd was ever there. In my 9 years of flying the CH-3/HH-3E, I logged over 2000 hours. It is not a day the goes by that I don't mention my flying career. In 1981, I was the lead Flight Engineer on the 20,000th save for ARRS and in 1982, I had the opportunity to fly a HH-3E from Clark AB to Osan AB, about 1500 miles the over South China Sea, with four air refuelings. That flight was one I'll never forget. I had a pretty interesting career even though I had no combat time.
