I was the Cmdr, Det 12, 38th ARRS, Nha Trang, off and on 1967-68 and Cmdr, Det 8, 44th ARRS, Myrtle Beach, SC from 1968 to 1971 where I retired. I flew RB-26's in Korea in 1953-54, then back at Shaw I flew the B-57 Canberra and the RB-66. I did a stint out in Eniwetok in 1958 then from 1960 to 1964 I was in Germany. Was stationed at Ramstein flew all over the place in T-birds and my Job as Loading Standardization Officer for 17th AF took me around to all the DOB's periodically. Back at Reese AFB, TX. in 1965 I was an instructor pilot in T-37's for a while, then Base Ops Officer. Eventually I ended up in choppers at Nha Trang , etc., as mentioned before.
