Bill Kaseman


I served 23 years in the Air Force and seventeen years was both in the flying side and maintenance side of the helicopters. I served on the:

 

1. UH -1 F/P and UH-1N Hueys

2. CH and HH-3

3. H-53

 

I served at Vandenburg AFB, CA, Hurlburt Field and Eglin AFB, FL, Ramstein Germany, Osan Korea, Clark AB Phillipines, 3 tours in Vietnam at Binh Thuy; DaNang, and Cam Ranh Bay (home base but mostly at Special Forces sites doing LRRP missions).

 

I have received the Distinguished Flying Cross from a special ops mission near Dak To  RVN on 10 March 1972.

 

I retired and worked in the Eglin AFB area for 15 years as a GED Instructor at Okaloosa-Walton Community College ( now named Okaloosa-Walton College), as a school therapist in the county school system, an intervention therapist with the county youth incarcerationprogram, and as a mental heallth counselor for Walton County.  I then was offered a position as a contracted education counselor at Eglin AFB.
 

Then went into civil service as a GS-9 counselor at Charleston AFB, SC for two years and was promoted to a GS-11 Education Counselor position at the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH were I am currently serving our military and civil service personnel.

 

I am glad to be working and giving back to a great organization thatprovided me the opportunity to excel and achieve an education.
