Floyd W. Watson Jr. (Buck).


Retired with 26 years 2 months and 8 days of USAF service. 

 

March 1959 - November 1964 my military history started at Biggs AFB, TX. on B-52’s, then KC-135’s.

 

December 1964 - March 1966 at Whiteman AFB, MO. on H-19’s and UH-1F’s.

 

March 1966 - August 1966, After combat crew training at Turner AFB, GA. we made the long C-130 flight to Udorn RTAFB, Thailand and Det. 5, 38th ARRS.

 

August 1966 - Febuary 1968 in August 1966 we moved over to Nakhon Phanom RTAFB, Thailand , Det. 2, 37th ARRS until Feb 1968.

 

February 1968 - March 1969 I was assigned to Hurlburt Aux field 9, FL. with the 4408th CCTS and flew the UH-1P.

 

April 1969 - April 1975 at Andrews AFB, MD. We flew the H-21, UH-1F, UH-1N, and CH-3.

 

April 1975 - Nov 1975 I went back to Nakhon Phanom RTAFB and was assigned to Job control on CH-53C’s. (I forget our Sq. name, 56th something – sorry).

 

November 1975 - My last assignment was then to the 20th SOS at Hurlburt Field , FL. on UH-1N’s.
