~MEMBERS CAREER BIOGRAPHY~

Jake Jakob

Joined the USAF in 1973 and after basic training and a tour at Wichita Falls TX, had my first assignment with the 1550 ATTW at Hill AFB, UT in Oct '74.

I was one of the few that stayed at Hill AFB after moving the 1550th to New Mexico, and helped start the small detachment with 2 UH-1F's.

Stayed at Hill until Jan '82, was sent to Indian Springs AFAF, NV.  When I first got there, we were a little known detachment, but we grew quickly.

I left Indian Springs in Jun or July of '85 and was sent to Howard AFB, Panama.

When the Army took our mission in Panama in Dec '87, came back to the states and was sent to Hurlburt Fld, FL. Where I had to learn H-53's, and stayed until I retired in 1993.
